Ingredients:
2 different salad greens (I always use at least one bag of baby spinach and then a spring mix)
sliced strawberries
shredded parmesan cheese
caramalized almonds:
1 cup sliced almonds
4 T sugar
---heat both over the stove while stirring until all the sugar is dissolved and attached to the almonds. Add more sugar if needed. Remove from heat and let cool.
---Mix or Layer all ingredients. I usually do layers of salad, strawberries, almonds, then cheese.
For the Dressing (this makes a ton. I usually half the recipe):
2 cups canola oil
2/3 cup white vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1 cup sugar
2 tsp. mustard
1/2 a red onion
1 T. poppy seeds
---Blend all ingredients together until smooth and chill before serving.
Wow Amy! Awesome recipes! I am so glad that you posted a salad... I love them but have hardly any fun salad recipes. I am excited to try all of these ;)
