Jack's {uncooked} personal pizza.
tip. Just make them on the pan. Pulling it off the plate messes it up
Pizza Dough
1 cup hot water
1 Tbsp sugar
1 Teas salt
1 Tbsp shortening
1 Tbsp yeast
3-4 cups flour
Starting with 1 1/2 cups of flour, Mix all ingredients until well blended and sticky. (When combining the ingredients put the yeast on the flour so it doesn't touch the hot water until everything is mixing). Slowly add flour until dough forms a ball and pulls away from the side of the mixer. Let rise for a few minutes. Oil surface and roll out dough, place on greased pizza pan. I think we used to prick holes in the dough with a fork before adding the sauce.
Bake at 375 for 15 to 20 minutes
The trickiest part is the flour, the more flour you put in the dough the tougher it will be, but if you don't get enough
flour, the dough is too sticky.
I have never used 4 cups of flour. It usually seems a little over 2 cups. I add the flour 1/2 cup at a time after the initial 1 1/2 cups.
I have cooked this as a big rectangle on a cookie sheet and as pan pizzas. Yummy!
