One year ago I went to a small Christmas party with the softest, yummiest sugar cookies.
When I asked for the recipe- she said....It's in the Better Homes and Gardens New Cook Book.
(looks like a tablecloth..probably got it for your wedding?)
And then she told me the secret to her Frosting...
a couple of drops of almond extract.
It was SOO delicious. It makes the cookie, the best sugar cookie ever.
Pick some up on your next trip to the store and add it in while mixing up the fluffy frosting.
For those of you who don't have the cookbook. I'll save you! Here is, straight from page 200.

ReplyDeletewait did I miss it? Whats the frosting recipe? or is it just a regular powdered sugar and butter recipe. The rest sounds awesome!
ReplyDeleteHow funny. I just tried a new recipe for some halloween sugar cookies. I had to pick up one ingredient I didn't have...Almond Extract. I haven't actually tried on yet, but I heard they were good!
